Day 133 of unemployment:  time to create a blog.

After becoming acutely aware of the ever-growing number of blog sites created by angry unemployed ex-law students, my original feelings of "stop bitching" quickly morphed into "can I join too?" upon reaching month 4 of my unemployment status.  Maybe these bloggers have it right - I mean, writing is supposed to be therapeutic, isn't it?  And where else can you be less-than-mindful of the rules of grammar, punctuation and overall syntax while still enjoying nationwide (perhaps worldwide) publication?  The blog world, that's where.

And that's why I'm here.

I refuse to make this blog a culmination of rants and raves about how bitter I am over the hours spent worrying about each exam and grade in law school only to be jobless upon graduation.  I also refuse to accuse my law school (or all law schools for that matter) of being a veritable "puppy mill," churning students out at an increasingly alarming rate when the unemployment status in our industry is at an all-time low, all for the sake of some extra cash.  No, I won't do that - I won't stoop down that low, telling them to go screw themselves for leading me to believe if I worked hard I'd be rewarded.  I also wont ask for reimbursement for the two bar exams I took.

Yup, not gonna do any of that here.

Rather, I'll use this space as a sounding board for my current feelings, notions, opinions, emotions and yes, the occasional rant.  It seems all the blogs I observe via my friends and others have a specific purpose.  However, since my unemployment status lends me to various daily activities that have no discernible theme or common scheme, I'm going to make mine about anything and everything.  I'm not looking for a large following, just a space to share myself.  So far, it's turning into the Seinfeld of blogs:  a blog about nothing.

Post number 1: done.
